TAIPEI, Taiwan -- WavePlus Technology announced today that its 802.11b Media Access Controller & Baseband Processor, the WP1200, and its Home Gateway Processor, the WP3211, have entered mass production stages and have begun shipping to Taiwan and U.S. customers. The WP1200 offers a low-cost 11 Mbps solution with excellent performance and low-power characteristics, while the WP3211 integrates an Ethernet switch, PHY, and PCMCIA host controller.
