WavePlus' WP3200 Home Gateway Processor is a RISC processor designed specifically for streamlined, low-cost networking applications.

The WP3200 features 4K instruction/2K data caches and can be configured with various static memories and up to 128Mbits of external SDRAM. The processor operates at a user-selectable frequency of 75 or 100MHz. Developers can rapidly test and debug their reference designs using the chip's hard-wired boot selection and EJTAG interface.

The WP3200 integrates two 10/100 Ethernet MACs and one 10Mbit PHY; a USB 1.1 controller interface allows high speed transfers with the home network; and two full duplex UARTs, one at 921600 baud and another at 115200 baud, give builders the flexibility to connect to Bluetooth modules or other transceivers.

System designers can also utilize the built-in PCMCIA interface to incorporate wireless functionality from their choice of technology provider. For solutions requiring expedited development and time-to-market, the WP3200 can be paired seamlessly with the WP1200 or other WavePlus Wireless Solutions to build devices quickly and affordably.
