WavePlus' WP3206 Home Gateway Processor is a RISC processor designed specifically for streamlined, low-cost networking applications.

The WP3206 offers designers a simple, lightweight processor with enough integrated peripherals to create networking products rapidly and effectively. It features 8K instruction/2K data caches and can be configured with various static memories and up to 128Mbits of external SDRAM. Like the WP3200, the WP3206 operates at a user-selectable frequency of 75 or 100MHz.

The chip integrates one 10/100 Ethernet MAC and one 10Mbit PHY; a single full duplex UART at 115200 baud allow quick connections to a Bluetooth module or other transceiver. The WP3206 can additionally support integration of any wireless-enabling component with minimal glue logic and modification to existing reference designs.
