WavePlus' WP3211 Home Gateway Processor is a RISC processor designed specifically for highly-integrated networking applications.
The WP3211's blend of processing power with configurable interfaces make it a robust choice for designers developing today's demanding networking devices. The processor features 8K instruction/2K data caches and can be configured with various static memories and up to 128Mbits of external SDRAM. The processor operates at a user-selectable frequency of 75, 100, or 125MHz.
An integrated 5-port Ethernet switch and PHY provide core wired connectivity, while two full duplex UARTs, one at 921600 baud and another at 115200 baud, allow easy connections to Bluetooth modules or other transceivers. WavePlus'
WP3210 offers the WP3211's same functionality and adds support for a 32-bit PCI bus.
System designers can utilize the built-in PCMCIA interface to incorporate wireless functionality from a variety of technology providers. For solutions requiring quick turnaround times, the WP3211
can be paired seamlessly with the
WP1200 or other wireless solutions
to build devices quickly and affordably.
